Self-esteem course

The low self-esteem group In Doncaster is delivered in a virtual group format via Microsoft Teams. The group is delivered by Step 3 practitioners but is suitable for step 2 and step 3 patients.

The cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) low self-esteem group is an 8 weekly session course based on CBT. The aim of the course is to increase understanding of low self-esteem and learn strategies to manage it.

A structured group therapy class lasting approximately 2 hours in duration with a short break. Patient’s partners / friends cannot be invited to the session. Patients will be expected to be visible on web cam.

Participation and engagement is necessary and helpful to patients but the extent of this is up to the individual. No one will be put on the spot and expected to talk if they don’t want to; however, patients should be made aware that the more they contribute the more they will gain from the treatment.

Patients can expect a PowerPoint presentation with some interactive group exercises.
