Support during Coronavirus (COVID-19)

WE ARE OPEN. We are continuing to accept referrals. Throughout the pandemic we have been offering telephone, video and online therapy, all of which have proved to be successful. Face to face appointments are also available. Due to Coronavirus (Covid-19), we have made some temporary changes to keep you and our staff safe.

Support during Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Veterans

While most military personnel cope well with the challenges of serving in the Armed Forces and successfully adapt to civilian life after they leave, for some, certain experiences which may be specifically related to service can have a negative impact on their mental health.

Our NHS trust (RDaSH) have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and by doing so Doncaster IAPT are committed to ensure that veterans are no worse off than non-veterans, and there are effective services available to them.

Doncaster IAPT services offer a range of evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health problems, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Research shows that veterans are just as likely to recover from a mild to moderate mental health disorder following psychological treatment at an IAPT service as non-veterans.

If you are a veteran and think you would benefit from support with your mental health, then please contact Doncaster IAPT.

Please see video below for more information on how the Doncaster IAPT service can support veterans.
