To mark the NHS 70 birthday staff from the ScunthorpeTalking Shop and their colleagues at Great Oaks and from across Scunthorpe will be teaming up with the Health Bus and joining the 5k Parkrun on Saturday June 9, 2018.

The Talking Shop on Market Hill in Scunthorpe, which is run by this Trust, offers ‘drop-in’ advice and a range of psychological ‘talking’ therapies to support people with anxiety, depression and other common mental health conditions.

The team will park the Health Bus at Pittwood House car park (Council building) and will encourage local people to hop on board to find out about the services the Talking Shop provides to promote positive mental health and wellbeing.

Kate Ashley, Team Manager for the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies, said: “There will be a variety of NHS staff that will be all running in their uniforms to celebrate the NHS 70 and also promote the work that we do.

“I hope that Scunthorpe residents attending the Parkrun will call in at the Health Bus and pick up some free information and advice.”

The Scunthorpe Parkrun starts at 9am in Central Park, Scunthorpe, and it is a free event.
